Dies Irae: Interview with Kaziklu Bey Review
The world of Dies irae returns with an all-new side story based around LDO member Wilhelm Ehrenburg. The subject of an interview in a dusty bar, the legendary "Kaziklu Bey" recounts the tale of a conflict he suffered long in the past. An excellent side story to the original, with the rater bold move of having Wilhelm as the protagonist. The author though still displays his ability to get you engaged in the stories of even obviously evil and insane characters, even more so than in the original story. During the interview, he starts to talk about his past and where his story began, which ended up being twisted from the very beginning. It just so happens that one day he met a girl, named Claudia, who had a huge impact on him. Throughout the story, Wilhelm recounts their relationship from the first time he met her. Every character, including Wilhelm, has superb voice over and each audio track was lovely. Interestingly, the game had realistic sound effects as well such as thunder or rain sounds which helped with the immersion quite a bit. The artwork and visual effects has also seen a jump in impressiveness, translation quality is also excellent. A wild ride just like the original.
