You put the helmet on, adjust the beam-width and proceed into the abyss.
Scanner Sombre is an indie adventure game made by Introversion Software – creators of the million selling, BAFTA award winning Prison Architect as well as Uplink, Darwinia, DEFCON and Multiwinia. Inspired by Gone Home and Dear Esther, Scanner Sombre is a cave exploration experience. Regaining consciousness you smell the damp. Opening your eyes you see the stone walls of the chamber flickering by the light of the fire; you stumble to your feet and kick a helmet clattering across the floor. Slowly the ache in your head begins to subside and you notice the beginnings of a passage.

Scanner Sombre Review
Technically, Scanner Sombre is a walking simulator game about exploration, with a really cool mechanic and a story that'll make you want to play and will keep you up for hours at night, wondering what happens next. You use your LIDAR scanner to explore an unknown place with the occasional use of audio for assistance and your scanner gets upgrades along the way. Visually this game looks extremely neat, and at times very beautiful. As you reveal the map the walls are covered in vibrant neon dots that gives this game a very unique style. Game is around 2 hours long, but it is a good concept done well, it does a very good job of building the atmosphere.
