Windscape is a first person exploration role-playing game made by Magic Sandbox and published by Headup. You play as a young girl living on your parents’ farm, set in a lovely world made up of floating islands in the sky. As you discover the world you learn that something has gone terribly wrong – islands are breaking apart and falling from the sky! It’s up to you to discover the evil that is threatening the universe of Windscape. As you travel the world(s) you will gather valuable resources allowing you to craft a plethora of items such as weapons, shields, potions, magical spells and much more. Some items will be just for fun while others are a necessity for your survival.

Windscape is an ambitious title that looks to mix the old parts of games you love with the new trends of today. One part Zelda, two parts Elder Scrolls is a good way to sum up the formula for Windscape. Play as a young girl living on your parents’ farm, set in a lovely world made up of floating islands in the sky. You will meet peaceful NPCs and vicious monsters both on the surface of each island as well as in the dungeons and lairs you uncover along your journey. As you discover the world you learn that something has gone terribly wrong - islands are breaking apart and falling from the sky! One aspect of the game I really enjoy is the crafting experience, it is great and simple. It will tell you how many items and quantities to collect to craft either a weapon, a potion or a meal, which restore some of your health. As soon as you embark on your adventure you are greeted by a soundtrack full of levity and excitement. The tracks capture perfectly the inspiration for the game. Windscape is definitely a game to keep an eye on. I am looking forward to new updates! Great potential!
