SlipSlop: World’s Hardest Platformer Game

Minimalistic one button platformer.

SlipSlop: World’s Hardest Platformer Game is a casual indie arcade game made and published by 0taste. All you can do is jump and your goal is to go from platform to platform till you reach the top in as short of a time as possible. It sounds simple, but all the platforms behave differently and add a lot of variety and puzzle elements, and can make the game difficulty be all over the place. All these variables can not only make each level a completely different puzzle from the previous one, but each level can be completed in several different ways which can make the game quite challenging if you are after the high score.

SlipSlop: World’s Hardest Platformer Game Review

7.3 Total Score
Good

The visual assets are very polished, featuring nice appealing UI. The music is atmospheric which makes it more of a relaxing play than frustrating for me, as games like these often can be. The mechanics feel good and require the user to learn it a bit to get used to it as the jump height is incredibly important in passing these levels. Uses only the spacebar to jump to climb higher and higher, but with inertia moving your character side to side, its extremely difficult to get higher. Oddly satisfying to play even with its extreme difficultly.
